8th Grade
It’s weird. I’ve always thought that middle school would be longer than it actually is. Only eight more weeks of tests and pacers and weekly authentics and then there’s those empty weeks of the calendar called summer. Then 9th grade.
It’s just happened really fast. There have been a lot of memories from 7th grade (Young Scientists project, SMR) and there have been other memorable experiences from 8th grade right now. I’m sure that when I’m in 9th grade I’ll look back on my experiences and reflect upon what I could have done differently.
I’m going to try to spend some more time with friends because they’re going to a different high school (but I’ll probably see them over summer.) And I guess, although I don’t know how, I’ll try to make a lasting impression on people because it’s eight more weeks and then 8th grade is gone.
This piece of writing might sound kind of sad, and it is. In eight weeks we’ll be signing year books, scribbling the generic Have a great summer! and waving our last good-bye to CMS. I’m going to miss 8th grade, but I’m also looking forward to the next four years of high school that I’m sure are going to be pretty hard and pretty fun.
